Privacy notice

Effective 19 September 2026

Cameron Low personally operates Huddle from Ontario, Canada. Huddle is a brand. This notice covers huddlechat.live, its hosted communities and the Windows client that connects to that service.

Accounts and profiles

Google sign-in supplies identity information such as name, email, profile image and provider identifiers. Huddle stores account/session records, profile and preference data, community memberships, roles, friend relationships, messages, edits, reactions, uploaded-file links, notification subscriptions and security records. Authentication uses essential cookies; JWT sessions can last up to 90 days. Optional two-factor authentication stores a verification secret. Huddle does not request access to Gmail messages.

Who can see your content

Channel membership and permissions control access to conversations in the application. Direct messages are visible to their participants. Administrators can manage communities and see membership information, which can include account email. Profiles, presence and messages are shared with the people the relevant feature permits. Cameron operates the service and may access stored information to provide support, investigate abuse or comply with legal obligations. Huddle does not provide end-to-end encrypted messaging.

Uploads and shared links

UploadThing receives files selected for profile, server branding or message uploads. Selection can upload a file before the message is sent. Upload URLs can be opened by people who obtain the link and can be copied outside the community; channel permissions are not a separate password on the file URL. Do not upload confidential or sensitive records or another person’s content without authority. Removing a message or profile link is not yet a guarantee that the provider’s stored file or a recipient’s copy has been erased.

Voice, video and screen sharing

LiveKit software on the hosted infrastructure routes room media and connection metadata. Your microphone, camera or screen is shared when you enable that feature; desktop permissions can differ from browser prompts. No routine server-side recording feature was found in the reviewed deployment. Other participants can still record or copy what they receive. Stop sharing and check the selected window or device before joining.

Providers, location and local storage

Hostinger hosts the application, PostgreSQL database and supporting services in the United States. Google processes sign-in information, UploadThing processes uploads through its storage/CDN providers, and your browser or operating-system push service delivers enabled notifications. UploadThing storage residency has not been verified as Canada-only. Browser and desktop storage keep authentication, appearance, audio-device and other preferences. These services can process data outside Canada under their own terms.

Notifications, telemetry and logs

Browser/OS notification permission is optional. Notification content can include sender names and message previews when enabled, including on a lock screen. Use notification settings and OS controls to limit previews or disable delivery. No optional marketing analytics loader was found in the reviewed source. Infrastructure processes IP addresses, URLs, browser data, timestamps and status for delivery and security. Ordinary hosting-edge logs rotate daily with 14 rotations; incident copies and provider logs can last longer.

Retention and requests

Accounts, messages and edit history, community records, uploads and correspondence have no universal automatic expiry. Available edit/delete controls affect the referenced live records; orphaned uploads and backups require separate handling. Contact Cameron for access, correction, export, account closure or deletion. Proportionate identity verification may be needed. Cameron will explain affected shared communities, provider files and any legal or backup limits before completing the request. A uniform backup erasure deadline has not been verified. Leaving a community, signing out or uninstalling does not delete your hosted account.
